Southern France, from Spain to Italy, has been the haven for travelers for thousands of years. Modern Times in the South of France start with the history of ancient Greece and Rome, but mankind has lived and worked along the French Mediterranean coast for hundreds of thousands of years , you can discover for yourself.
The South of France starts at Millau. The new bridge over the river Tarn has center pillars higher than the Eiffel tower in Paris. The gorges and passes of the Cevennes are a delight to explore, the adventurous can hire donkeys and follow the hoof-beats of R L Stevenson and Modestine.
One hour further South, across the Larzac plateau, past Lodeve, is the Mediterranean. Our home is only ten minutes from Agde, an ancient Greek port. We chose our home carefully, having spent four years exploring many corners of France, before settling in Nizas, one of the smallest villages in Languedoc.
For twelve years we have welcomed many guests to our apartments in Nizas from all over the world. Five years ago we moved a few kilometers South, nearer the Mediterranean in Languedoc, to a larger classic 19th century home in the village of Montblanc and have just opened our new apartments (Gites) and Bed and Breakfast (Chambres d’Hotes) in our home Villa Roquette.
Now the work on our house is (nearly) finished, we offer you a warm welcome to our home.
Because many visitors are thinking of living in this region, we work closely with what, in our opinion is, the best estate agency in France, Coast and Country. Based in Mougins, on the French Riviera, this long established and efficiently managed company can offer you a professional service from offices along the Cote d’Azur and now, from us, in Montblanc in central Languedoc.
Whether you are coming to Southern France for just a day on your travels, a few days to discover a little of this beautiful region, or are looking for a new home – we an offer you somewhere – from a day, to a lifetime, from us – with a very warm welcome.
